Indonesiske Republik

Indonesian Republic stamps, issued after the country’s declaration of independence in 1945, reflect Indonesia’s struggle for sovereignty and national identity. Early issues were often overprinted Dutch colonial stamps, while later designs showcased national heroes, cultural heritage, and economic progress. During the revolutionary period (1945–1949), stamps were used as a symbol of resistance and legitimacy. Post-independence issues continue to highlight Indonesia’s diverse traditions, wildlife, and historical milestones.
